Lusso_Wedding Thief.jpg
CLIENT: Lusso PURPOSE: Announce the shop’s new location. Remind people why they should stop in. BACKGROUND: In the vast wasteland of malls and mass merchandisers, Lusso stands out. The shop has established a reputation for selling gifts and accessories that are actually unique. And then making them even more so with handmade gift-wrapping. This campaign, which appeared in higher-end magazines in the St. Louis area, was a humorous reminder that, with Lusso, you can give better, but not without consequences. Jealousy, for instance. In one ad, a woman looks to make sure the coast is clear while swiping a Lusso package from a table full of wedding gifts. The headline warns us to “always remember who was absent from the cha-cha line”. The other two ads feature similar warnings, as well as women caught in the act. Considering the unique quality of a Lusso gift, though, it’s hard to blame them.
