About

We started MediaPost back in 1996 as a place, on the then nascent internet, for media buyers and sellers to 'find' and contact one another - via phone, fax, and email.

To help promote MediaPost we started writing and sending simple email notes to our members about things on the web of interest to media professionals. Those simple notes have evolved into the significant publishing we've been doing over the last 10 years.

We're now coming full circle to an enhanced 'social networking' platform that again helps advertising and media pros find and connect with one another.

Hi Jeff, I just want to say thank you! I have been learning so much from the site and the different departments that I have joined...regarding the information that I receive. Would you like to advertise MediaPost on my radio stations? I would be honored to have you! Please e mail me for some ideas that I have...I'm sure you have many! Congratulations on all your success! Regards, Kjelene M. Bertrand The Anastos Media Group

I love Mediapost, too, but I spent a long time trying to get a small (88k) photo uploaded. I failed. What is the problem with the website?

Jeff- LOVE MediaPost since I found out about it about 4 or 5 months ago. Full of great stories, opinions, leads, etc. I am anxious to participate in the next iteration, that being the social networking platform. To whom can we direct technical questions. I have been spending tons of time this morning trying to do some simple stuff (upload photos, create profile, etc) and have not been having much luck. Don't want to clog up your comments page with technical issues. Is there someone charged with that part of the site? Thanks a lot.

I feel like I have been drinking from a firehose the past few weeks since signing up for MediaPost messages. But there is so much good stuff here. I am the immediate past president of Media Communications Association-International (MCA-I - formerly known as ITVA) and I see some ways that we could partner. Drop me a note. connie@corporatevideo.com Regards, Connie Terwilliger

Thanks for the invite, Jeff - was lamenting troubles signing onto MediaPost yesterday. Personal confession: I can never remember the multitude of user names I've registered with and expereince a general dismay over some of the difficulties. Then I get your invitation email - fumble for a minute (an expected "result" in this brave new world) and then make my way to the social platform. Great addition! Keep up the good work and thanks again. Looking forward to continued improvements, additions and conversations.

Jeff - Great addition to Media Post capabilities and services to readers/viewers. I am working on a project that requires a social networking service so I am interested in your selection criteria and process used to pick Converdge over other providers. Can you have someone involved in that process contact me? Thanks, Jim Tower, President, CVR Group, Inc. (jtower@cvrgroupinc.com)

Social Networks = Belonging Networks. It's great that you got on board and you all are taking a leadership roll in 2.0 ideas. Good luck with the platform, it's the right move. www.billganz.com www.linkedin.com/in/billganz

I think this is a very good idea, and I hope that subscribers will actively participate. Congratulations to you for making the effort to put it together.
